As is often the case, the design of this scarf was inspired by the archives held in the Émile Hermès collection. The design is based on illustrations from a catalogue of the 1851 London International Exhibition, which showcased the latest advancements in modular and convertible carriages. This scarf was first published in 1965 and then reissued in 1980. It was revised and updated in 2013. In good condition. Some signs of age on the folds, visible in the photos. A truly beautiful classic.
