Hermès Scarf 90 cm – À Propos de Bottes – Xavier de Poret
Pièce unique.
Equestrian chic in its purest form. Signed by the celebrated animal painter Xavier de Poret, this "À Propos de Bottes" scarf is a work of art. Here the artist renders with incredible precision a study of riding boots, crops, riding caps and gloves. The title plays on an old French expression meaning “for no good reason”.
Presented here in its most sought-after version, on a plain cream ground (without a contrasting border), the scarf showcases the finesse of the artist’s grey pencil stroke, heightened by the bright red of a hunting coat at the centre. Rare and sought after.

A word from Diane
Xavier de Poret’s scarves are my favourites for an “Old Money” look. No excess, just the essentials: the line. This cream ground is wonderful because it lights up the face while remaining very soft. It is the perfect scarf to wear with a beige trench coat, a tweed jacket or a simple navy cashmere jumper. A timeless study in style.
